MFAZ is run in Zambia by a skilled and motivated team. This team is headed up by Charlie and Sharonne Watt, all other members being Zambian.

 

 

Nash Lungu

Senior Mechanics Lecturer is Nash Lungu. He has been with MFAZ since January 2004, initially as a part-time lecturer, but after the loss of Luke Lubemba he was promoted to his current position. Mr. Nash Lungu is the senior lecturer and has been lecturing in motor mechanics for for the past 23 years. He started lecturing in Lusaka Trades and in 1996 moved to Ndola Polytechnic. At MFAZ he is involved in teaching both mechanics theory and practical work. He is married with three children.

 

 

 

Fanwell Nshimbami

 

 

 

Fanwell is the senior mechanic and practical instructor. Fanwell has been with MFAZ since march 2003. He trained in automotive mechanics at Luanshya Trades Training Institute and in teaching at the Technical and Vocational Training College also in Luanshya. Fanwell worked for 4 years as the mechanic and workshop manager in a big mission station in Mukinge in the North West Province. He is married with 4 children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emmanuel Sikaundi

 

Mr Emmanuel Sikaundi is the Assistant Administrator and Storesman. Emmanuel is married to Zenia and they have three children. They all worship at Abundant Blessings Christian Centre in Kansenshi. He was  trained in Agriculture at the Rehabilitation Centre and at Kalulushi College. After finishing his studies he spent some years on various farms around the Copperbelt Central Province, before joining MFAZ.

 

 

 

Isaac Mwansasu

 

Mr Isaac Mwansasu comes to MFAZ from Luanshya. He is single, and teaches both theory and practical sessions, as well as basic computing in the life skills curriculum. He was trained in Mechanics at Nortech, and in teacher training at TVTC. He attends Gospel Tabernacle Church in Luanshya.

 

 

 

Richard Lungu

 

The newest addition to the team, Richard (no relation to Nash!) teaches and helps with practical sessions and customers part time. He attends Elim Pentecostal Church and is a regular member of his cell group.

 

 

 

 

Rodah Sanyikosa

 

Rodah Sanyikosa is in charge of the college kitchen and is also the caretaker. She ably caters for all staff and student lunches.

 

 

 

Pastor Shadrach Chibanda

 

Pastor Shadrack Chibanda is currently the minister of Elim Pentecostal church. He trained as a Pastor at African Christian Training School in Harare, Zimbabwe. He is married with four children. He is also the principal of Elim Ministerial College, and spends much time in discipleship training of young Zambians.  

 

 

 

Christopher Chanda, Jonas Chibanda and Agree Chelu

 

Chris, Jonas and Agree (pronounced with the stress on the "a" rather than on the double e) are our guards. Between them they take care of us and the property 24 hours per day! Pictures of these three to follow!

 

Desmond

 

 

Desmond Musukuma is our gardener, and also choir leader. He has 10 acres to look after, so his work is cut out!

 

 

Peggy Chipalimali

Peggy works in the Watts’ house, helping with housework and the children. She is married to Lewis and has five children.  

 

 

Mary  Nyirenda also helps with the Watts’ housework.

 

Mr. & Mrs. Charlie & Sharonne Watt have been working in Africa since June 1997. Their first two years were spent in a remote part of northern Mozambique, where Charlie was in charge of maintaining a fleet of some 30 vehicles for the NGO, CORD. He graduated from the University of Surrey in the UK with BSc. In Metallurgy and Materials Technology. He then joined a building firm for four years before becoming a partner with his father in the business of hiring and repairing tools and machinery. Charlie is the College Principal and works alongside the staff taking part in the practical and theory teaching.

 

In Mozambique Sharonne worked in the local orphanage and was involved in some teaching at the local school. She has completed a Christian Counselling and various computer courses and is the College Administrator. She and Pastor Chibanda share the Life Skills teaching, and the discipleship training. Charlie and Sharonne have two sons, Samuel and Joel.
